About me

I’m a husband, father, veteran, engineer, and entrepreneur. I spent most of my career in tech, first as an engineer, then as a product leader and founder of two venture-backed startups. I did my MBA at Stanford, where I built friendships and a community that became an important part of my life in San Francisco.

Before meeting my wife, I spent years taking dating seriously and trying to understand what makes two people right for each other. I dated extensively, studied relationships, and became much more deliberate about compatibility, commitment, and the kind of life I wanted to build with someone. That process eventually led me to my wife and gave me a much clearer understanding of what I believe makes dating and relationships work.

Over time, I developed an approach to dating that puts human connection, self-reflection, empowerment, presence, curiosity, and growth at the center. Those ideas became the foundation for many of the frameworks I now use in the Matchmaking Project.

Connecting people has also been part of my life for years. Long before starting this project, I was introducing friends and people in my community, always carrying a mental list of single friends who might be right for each other. Some of those introductions led to relationships, marriages, and families. In Judaism, helping bring two people together in marriage is considered a mitzvah, a good deed. I’ve always loved that idea, and I love helping people find someone to build a life with.

Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and kid and cultivate a big community of friends. I love music, hiking, reading, writing, playing guitar, cooking, and traveling the world. I’m slowly making my way toward 100 countries. I meditate for an hour every day and care deeply about living a healthy, intentional life.
